Morning changes everything. The psalmist commits to singing of God’s strength when the sun rises, proclaiming His fortress-love in the new day. There is something powerful about morning praise—it sets the trajectory for everything that follows. Before anxiety can stake its claim on the day, praise establishes God’s sovereignty. His strength does not depend on our feelings; His fortress-love does not waver with our circumstances. When we begin our days declaring these truths in song, we build a wall against anxiety’s assault. In the  morning, what song will you sing? Let praise be your first language, strength your first thought.

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. [Psalm 59:16]
